There is no indent on vintage style bridge saddles. The pressure of the tightened string keeps it in place.

I am curious why you want to replace these. Are you old ones worn or ... ?

well i have a squier standard, so i was replacing the stock ****ty stuff. mine are in bad shape. im replacing the tuners. i was going to replace the bridge, but someone said i could potentially ruin the guitar if i mess up. so i was going to, at the very least replace the saddles.
should i get these instead?:
