We've been together since about late october. We started out with a grindcore band in mind but really felt it was going no where. So on a whim we let go of our singer and went for more of an instrumental experiment. Really, we're impressed with the results.
Recordings were done at a local small time, part time studio. The house was perfect and the equipment was great. The better part is that we paid $150 down for the first 10 hours ($15 an hour) and took 18 hours for 4 tracks and an intro track. We were never charged for the rest of the time because the tech liked the music (rare to see that).
The part I was impressed with was his know-how. For the first recording "We Made It Through The Winter," we had 2 mics on my 4x10 '59 RI bassman in an echo canceling room, and split the channel to a deville 4x10 in a big empty room with a 2 mics on speakers and 2 overheads catching the room. It worked out really nice. If you want more detail on the full setup, let me know, or if you want info on the guy we recorded with (for you baltimore area fellas), ill shoot you some info
Myspace Linky..
Thanks for the look and tell me what you think, im very curious to hear other opinions other than my friends :smokin:
PS! Any ideas and pointers on mixing would be much appreciated! these are eq'd and mixed but the final product is still under works, so i still need some ideas on fixes.
