21 Guns was released when I was in middle school. I remembered listening to it and really liking it, it being the first Green Day song I've ever listened to.
Two years later in high school, it was the first song I had ever perform on stage in my life. It was a fun experience to entertain friends and seniors. I remember cranking the amp up (to the teachers' chagrin) enough to make the little combo amp get tube distortion!
That was one of my fondest memories, and the reason why this song will always hold a special place in my heart.
