Interesting Strat replacement trem

Re: Interesting Strat replacement trem

Looks like a continuation from where super-vee left. Nice idea, although the biggest problem in non-locking systems comes from the nut, not the bridge.

Re: Interesting Strat replacement trem

Not a million miles away from the new Floyd Rose Rail Tail vibrato.

Re: Interesting Strat replacement trem

Didn't Rockinger do something similar to this about 25 years ago?....
But as stated above, the trem can be as smooth as you like, the hang ups occur up the other end.

Cheers,PJ

Re: Interesting Strat replacement trem

Looks like a great idea for smooth consistent vibrato dives and returns.

This doesn't address the locking nut because those are already a dime a dozen.

Re: Interesting Strat replacement trem

Wow, I'm very interested in seeing where this goes. Might pitch the guy a couple bucks to help...

Re: Interesting Strat replacement trem

Proceed with extreme caution.

I live ten miles from the company behind this Kickstarter project. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-34926371

Roughly six weeks ago, I posted a news item about the Pulse* MIDI Controller device. The concept is brilliant. The project had ringing endorsements from various worthy people and organisations. Yet, it failed to attain its pledge target. (In my opinion, one of the organisations singing the praises of the device could probably have funded it entirely by themselves.)

Even with record breaking monetary backing, Kickstarter projects can run into trouble. http://www.theguardian.com/technolo...arter-massive-projects-hit-rocks-coolest-zano

I elected not to pledge money towards the Pulse* device. I will happily pay the suggested retail price if/when the product comes to market. I thought better of paying the full amount two years ahead of delivery.

As with any form of gambling, never risk more than you can afford to lose.

Re: Interesting Strat replacement trem

On the matter of the product itself, I am still infinitely satisfied with my Wilkinson VSV400, very sad that it was discontinued, however if I were to buy a bridge for a Strat now, the ones mentioned already would probably have priority over a Vigier lookalike bridge.

On the matter of the campaign itself, to this day is puzzles me how bad the French people seem to be at speaking English, or indeed, any other language than their own.

Nonsense. "Beer" sounds close enough to bière and hand gestures should get you your preferred type of sex worker. :D

This is true for most european nations, minus Holland/Scandinavia perhaps. Ancient greeks had a rough time speaking other tangs as well.
