"Invader style" or other pole pieces- in stock P90's? - thinking out loud...

Well...

I've had a long day sipping beer, and thinking about various things.

I remember the Invader pickup from my youth. I always wanted one for my Ibanez, but could never afford it.

Nowadays, I have an Epiphone Wildkat, with two P90 pickups. They have pole pieces, that are threaded into the pickup...

Is there possible, by any chance, to find "invader" style, or other protruding pole pieces, that can be a direct replacement on my P90's?

I'd love to hot-rod this guitar in any way, preferably cheap and reversible

I also wonder-

Can you install "Invader" pole pieces, on any humbucker with screw pole pieces?

I think so, but I haven't tried.

Maybe I find some fitting screws with great looking/shaped/sounding heads... I'd try it in an instant!

just to get a little more going, sound and mojo wise.

Are the pickups as close to the strings as you can get them? I imagine if the big pole pieces changed anything it would add a little output and a lot more noise and feedback

well, the "Invader" has a distinct sound, due to its giant pole pieces /screw heads...

I just want to experiment with something that's cheap and reversible.

It shouldn't be a problem to change the screws. Try it, you may like it.

Aren't the 3 ceramic magnets and massively overground coils a bigger part of the Invader's formula?
