Is an Unoriented A5 warmer than a rough Cast A2?

Just wondering which of these 2 magnets is warmer?...I have a very bright Les Paul that needs a very warm bridge pickup...I was going to try these magnets in either a Wolfetone Marshallhead 9K I have or a Duncan Hybrid I'm making..The Custom/59 one....I also have a JB...and a 59....any suggestions???

I recently swapped the shiny, polished (and stock) A5 in my '59b with an UOA5. It added some pleasant mids and pulled back the highs. I would still bet the A2 would be warmer yet, but would also change the character of the pickup some, too.

I think an A2 has a more rounded high-end. I'd say an UOA5's treble seems to be between an A2 and an A8. But I think an UOA5 gives a little fuller, bigger sound than an A2, which may in part be due to it's higher output. Why not try the RC A2 in the JB first, and if it doesn't have enough bite, put in the UOA5. A2's in JB's are very nice, I have one in an LP.

If you go with the Custom/'59 hybrid, I'd probably start with a UOA5 there.
