so i'm adding to the population by feburary. NOW these specs are final :D. i keep on coming back to these specs because i just love it. everyone i know says it should be banned by law but i think it will rock

start out w/ a squeir strat
a couple of pickups w/ wider rods for a bigger sound from zhang*
red pickup covers and knobs
2 push pull knobs for tapping
a megaswitch for some sweet wiring
surf green w/ matching headstock (of course)
a paisley pickguard from warmoth
varitone in tone 3
master tone and volume

that's a wrap. did i miss anything?

i'll include a homemade photoshop if i can get my scanner working :D

I'm not quite sure about the red pickup covers. I'd have to see it. Having a hard time visualizing it.

The red and the surf green I don't think will match very well. But I do agree, there should be more surf green guitars in the world. Its my favorite Strat color, and I hope to get even more like the one in my avatar :D

I say go chrome. Pickup covers and knobs. Now that would be sweet.

There need to be more surf green thinline Teles with white pearloid pickguards, a Strat neck and middle pickup, a Filtertron at the bridge and a Bigsby...in my house.

i may be wrong but it's the fact that they clash that'll give it some mojo. besides the pickups

hehe... for some reason I can kinda see red pickup covers working... it reminds me of something I can't think of now :laugh2:

glad you decided on a more convenient means of switching ;)

you're putting hbs in it? or tapped single coils. good stuff :D

guess you're limitted in inlay choices though if you don't want to do more work... but I still say a maple board with matching stock, and sharkfin pearloid inlay :laugh2:

honestly I was hoping kinda you'd go with coral cause that'd be cool as hell... but once again, see sig. (surf is close enough ;) oddly I don't own a surf/seafoam guitar. I should fix that. Jazzmaster? hmm...)

Sounds killer . . . except for the red. (Like everyone else.) :)

Surf green needs Canary yellow hardware.

honestly, your not helping much on colors. i'm still waving (so techincally these aren't final). coral is where it's at

When I close my eyes and get a mental picture of this guitar I throw up a little in my mouth. Red on surf green (with a paisley guard)? What ever floats your boat, man. I don't have to like, but you do. ;)

I was thinking about it in terms of giving someone support in his fight against the world...
Like in giving someone support when the fashion police comes to take him for playing a surf green guitar...
However, if the term isn't 100% right here... support groups are also a solution... :)
