friend's making it, same who did work on my axes... (note my old schecter on the rack too). but it's seafoam. not quite done either but hey. how could I resist

FYI for comparison... the blue duo sonic furthest the left is daphne. Then that bass to the immediate left of the strat is surf.

you're exactly right, you shouldn't. you make me think and it hurts me physically. maybe i'll stick w/ the surf green. that way i don't have to special order the color from reranch, if possible

OK, so would it be safe to say that if one likes Surf Green, then one would also like Sonic Blue?

not necissarily (i can't spell :D). however in this case it's true. i like daphne more though. either one is fine by me.

...I like daphne better honestly. Sonic looks too washed out for me... But yeah, I do like sonic blue though. Unless they're right next to each other it's too hard to tell the diff anyway...

Which is also why I like surf green, but IMO if you're going to do surf... you might as well go balls to the wall with seafoam ;)

And what's the problem with Honest Abe :laugh2:

How'd you get ahold of my strat?! And I like the matching headstock alot, looks good with the maple.

Speaking of support groups for people who play Surf Green guitars, when someone saw me playing my guitar, they came up to me and told me I had a fairy guitar! :laugh2: Coincidentally, I think the same thing happened to Jeff Beck, and he plays a Surf Green Strat as well...:eek13:

I just call it "gay blue" :D With pride. (Well, that's what I call daphne blue ;))

Think about it this way.

Playing a metawll guitar decked out with skulls and points etc. is like hugging a fat biker. Or a fat biker's old lady.

Playing a dainty guitar is like hugging a pastel clad, delicate chick. Or a gay guy I guess :D

Fenders, especially Mustangs, need to be a little gay :smokin: Wear gay blue (or green) with pride.

It takes a real man to look manly playing something Surf green... so we all must be real men :D see the SoCal jam pics for evidence.

you know that's a good question. i'm a bit scared to do it myself (safety hazards) so it might be done by a really cool hot-rodder here in town.
