Is my BRAND NEW cool rails actaully 2nd hand.

Hey guys, I bought a cool rails off ebay last week. It's for my first rewiring/ pickup change so I had never opened or seen a brand new PU boxed. The wire was stripped which I figured the factory did to save our time. My P-pails just arrived and the wire isn't stripped which made me wonder why the cool rails was. None of the images on google for new cool rails had a stripped cable.
So is this normal? Should I be worried that I actually bought a 2nd hand pickup?
Random side question. The rails on it aren't the same height. From what i can tell they are meant to be the same. Will it affect the sound.

Do you have any pictures? I've never had a new pickup with the wire stripped before :/

Interesting. My shop floor custom SH6 distortion I recently got was stripped, and I just assumed it was for my convenience. The wire didn't look like it had solder on it so I assumed it was how they are shipping new now. Mine was 2014 production I think. I'd be interested to know now if mine was a return or 21 day exchange or what. Either way, mine worked fine and was flawless so it wouldn't bother me either way.

I'm pretty sure I've received them stripped, not stripped, and with the ends cut but still over the wire, but never unevenly stripped. If you have a pic, it would be very easy to tell which is the case.

Yeah I've received new four conductor pickups with the ends like that, sometime with the foil shielding intact, sometimes not.
