Is my effect pedal goosed!

Hi

I've got a Boss Super Shifter and i was using it today and all of a sudden the gain dropped by half - still distorted but half the gain - i tried the RG550 directly into the amp and the sound was fine - is the pedal goosed or is there a simple way to solve this problem - i use a one spot power daisy chain to power my effects so i know it's not lack of power, so i'm hoping it may be a quick solder job on the input/outputs on the pedal.
Any help would be great.

Have you tried running the pedal on the 9v battery alone?

Try that at see if your problem still exists. If the problem is gone, I suspect the 1 Spot. Mine 1 Spot went out a long time ago... It took me forever to figure out the power supply had gone bad.
