Is my hot rails legit?

I bought a used hot rails a while ago. It has two black rails, a black ceramic bar magnet between two blades, no logo and only a sticker on the bottom that says "NP" (neck position?). It has the correct kohm value the old duncan hot rails have. Is it legit or could it be a fake?

Pics would help, but I have one that looks like that.

I'd wager my SDUGF account that your pickup is the genuine article.

I"m more curious as to what made you think it might be fake? Where did the suspicion come from?

I don't know how old yours may be and what the cosmetic differences are, but here are pics of one I picked up the other day to compare.

Re: Is my hot rails legit?

There are definitely two styles of them. The older style does not have the hard plastic sides. It has cloth tape, and no epoxy or visible circuit board. FWIW, I am the second owner of my hot rails which were originally purchased in the 80's. One of the things that I have never seen a fake get right is the rails.
