Is the duncan pickup covers interchangeable?

Hi guys, i'm just wondering that if i for an example buy a JB with a gold cover and a Custom Custom with no cover, can i take the cover off the JB and put it on the CC?

Excessive bumps! I believe you would have to desolder the cover off one pickup and just solder it onto the other one.

Dont take my word for it, but my guess is that it will work. I doubt that SD makes the 'buckers in different sizes. But again, I havent tried it.

why not just buy the Custom and a pickup cover, why do you have to take it off the JB

Covers are interchangeable among "same size" Duncans. i.e. Neck <-> Neck, Bridge <-> Bridge, Trembucker <-> Trembucker

They SHOULD also be interchangeable between neck and standard spaced Bridge Buckers, but I´m not sure about whether they are
