Is the EVH much different than the Screamin' Demon?

My pickup experiments continue to draw my curiousity to the Duncan EVH from the custom shop. I've tried several p/u's in the same instrument and so far I like the Screamin' Demon best and the Lawrence L500L 2nd. I'm wondering how the EVH compares tonally to the Demon if there are any users out there that have both. Also, is there any audilbe difference with the EVH to the EVH in the Trembucker size? I've heard the wire guage may be 43 instead of 42.

There is a HUGE difference between the 2! The EVH is warm and the Demon is about as bright as you can get! They are nothing alike!

Thanks, I don't think warm is what I am searching for. I prefer the A5 anyway. Just wondering if there was something with the wind that enhanced the brightness.

Different wire/insulation type, different gauge, different magnet, etc. It's apples to oranges.
The standard spaced and trembucker versions use the same gauge wire.
