Is there a change made to pickups if they are placed together?

I just ordered a 78 and SSL-2 and, of course, they'll be shipped in the same small box. Will having the magnets so close to eachother mess them up?

Nothing to worry about. Now I wouldn't place them near an MRI machine or inside a microwave thats running, though.

In all my days I've had an issue with this exactly once. I have a 4x thickness neodynium magnet that managed to completely reverse the phase of an A3 magnet from about an inch away in a couple of seconds.

For comparison, that neodynium bar magnet is about 50 times stronger than a ceramic or 200 times stronger than an A5

right. an alnico or ceramic mag isnt going to be an issue, rare earth mags absolutely can/will be

Super high strength magnets will deguass weaker magnets.
Like a neo magnet or super stregth poly will steal from an alnico.
But no 2 pickups in a box are fine.

So I haves some neo button magnets
I was gonna stick to some cheap single coil slugs

And a couple of neo bar magnets to try in humbuckers

I still wonder what these will sound like

The thing that surprised me most about my fat neo bar magnet is it did almost nothing with regards to string pull
