Is this a problem?????!?

Ok so i purchased a set of Alnico II Pro pickups for my gibson les paul classic, got them installed only to notice that the bridge pickup doesn't line up. The Pole piece's are totally off. The E and A strings are the only ones that are in the middle of the poles, the other 4 completely miss the poles . Now on my old Gibson pickup (500T) they lined up perfectly, but not with these. The neck pickup is perfect but the brigde is not at all.

2 questions regarding this.

1. Is it ok that they don't line up? Should i be concerned? I called a music store intown here and was told it really doesn't matter, but I have always thought otherwise.
2. If it is a problem what pickups have the correct spacing for a les paul classic???

It shouldn't affect it too much. Just adjust the polepiece height until they're all the same volume. If you can hear a difference, or if the look bothers you, exchange it for an Alnico II Pro Trembucker.

It almost sounds like you accidently got a trembucker. Are the strings spaced wider then the poles, or vice versa?

With a Gibson TOM bridge, a trembucker offers better string spacing. However, carefully adjusting pole pieces can solve any output issues with a regualr spaced bucker. If the look bothers you, exchange for a trem spaced APH.
