is this true, will Duncan be affected?

I just heard that American Wire Corp in Sandy Hook, IL has discontinued production of enamal wire, and that being the only producer around (that I've heard of), can affect the way Antiquities, Seth Lovers, and just about any acurate PAF style pickup around are made (and sound) anymore.

Anyone got the skinny?

bummer, not sure what effect itll have if any

I'd lay money that Seymour has enough of that wire to wind and wind for years....

I would venture to guess that if there is a market, someone will make it. How will that affect price though?

Supply and Demand.

If demand is constant, and supply drops -> Usually you can see a price increase

I know another popular boutique pickup maker personally, he posted this info on another private forum. He mentioned that h spoke with the company today (they've supplied him for about the past 7 years) and says they discontinued this type of wire because there's not enough demand. He does not knwo where else to get the coil and is a bit worried.
