Re: Is this what I will need......

Thanks, but just to clarify, i want to be able to install non-dogear p/u's in a pickguard & just have H'bucker style height adjustments, and NOT dogear covers. Are we on the same page, & is this really what i need?

No.
The bars on the picture are homemade. I also dont see how the baseplate is attached to bars.

The stew mac baseplates dont fit without major modifications. The distance of the height adjusment screws of a humbucker isn't compatible with the dogear. I read of a guy who flattend the side tabs and drilled new holes to get it straight.

But this is the vintage real deal:

He could have just turned the mounting baseplate upside down.

Re: Is this what I will need......

In the picture at the top ofthe thread, there's no threads on those ears, so how does the pup attach? And that entire goes under the bridge, & i want just two adjustment screws on the face of the pickguard, right?

Re: Is this what I will need......

if U want screws on the Pickguard , U Tap the Adapters . if U want to pre-adjust the pickup height under the Pickguard , no Threads in Adapter ( just holes for Screws to go thru) and use foam or whatever for the Back-pressure dropping the pickguard over them . the Adapters can be the Bars , micarta size of Pickup , Any number of configs

Re: Is this what I will need......

On my SG Classic, it has that type of slotted-end baseplate, which uses little threaded clips on each end that accept the adjustable mounting screws. This is for going in a large batwing pickguard, with the pickups mounted in the pickguard. It is basically a dog-ear plate that is mounted upside down, using the threaded clips to attach it to the pickguard. I don't know where you get the threaded clips though.
