Issue with a classic stack plus (DEAD)

Hi I am writing because I ordered a seymour duncan stk-s4 neck position pickup , and yesterday I was installing it on my guitar and found out it doesnt work. I also got the stk-s4 middle and a little 59, both of them
okay. I have a lot of experience changing pups on guitar because is one
of my hobbies. When I check it with the multimeter, from ground to
wire, it has no reading (kohms). The other pups show the usual
resistance values of each pickup. I live in Venezuela and I am always buying
pickups and never really have an issue until now. Please answer and tell
me what can I do, and if this problem has a solution...Thanks

Did you buy from a local dealer or online from the US? Either way you should be able to return it for a good one. The only issue if you bought it from the US might be return shipping.

Ok but there is no way I can open the pup and check the inside connections?...I live in Venezuela and is difficult and long waiting to me to send it to the US...If someone has experience with opening pups and checking it please help me...Thanks

Re: Issue with a classic stack plus (DEAD)

Since in the stack pickups the cover is molded and cannot be removed I'm pretty sure that other than checking the leads where you can see them with your naked eye everything else is pretty much impossible I'm afraid...

See if you can get refunded returned etc mate, before you start trying to open it and they accuse you of tampering with it & breaking it yourself.
