it's raining cabs

Re: it's raining cabs

No fulk YOO butty. This is the "before" pic. Just imagine how sick the "After" will be! :smokin:

Re: it's raining cabs

Cmon man. If you read my last thread then you should've already known these cabs. This is just the decorative pic of them all side-by-side.

Long story short: I have been setting my local clist on fire, spending money that I shouldn't spend and doing trades where everybody wins but I probably win just a slight bit more.

"After" should include a cab I never even thought I'd see, much less own, and something so unexpectedly cool that I still don't really believe it.

Don't be jealous... I'm probably just overcompensating for my lack of talent and skill :smokin:

Re: it's raining cabs

Perhaps, but they all look so pretty lined up like that.

I am erect for your impending pictures. Please don't make my boner wait.

Re: it's raining cabs

Your boner will have to wait until all transactions are finalized and all speakers are properly feng shui'd for maximum aural devastation.

Just put a bandaid over it or something.

You come and go

Re: it's raining cabs

You know what's really weird? I just realized we both have the exact same cab, down to them both being drip edge. I don't know if you know this but those aren't actually the Bassman cabs - from what I've been able to find they're Dual Showman cabs. Bassman cabs were much smaller:

My cab, even though I got it like a year after the head, was sold to me as a Bassman cab. I'm glad it isn't because those things are dinky.

Re: it's raining cabs

I always wondered about that because my friend's 66 Blackface has the cute cabinet. I'm cool with having a dual Showman jumbosized 2x12...

Re: it's raining cabs

this thread is gross.

Also my luck on CL has sucked. I can't talk a dude down 10 bucks on a $230 amp, much less into a trade. Whatever you get, I'm looking forward to vicarious victory.

Re: it's raining cabs

I really want to keep mine but it's hard to justify when it doesn't fit in my current car. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) they're not easy to sell at all.

Re: it's raining cabs

I wonder if the number of Bassman owners rocking Dual Showman cabs is equal to or greater than the number of lap steel players with butchered Dual Showman heads mounted in 1x15 combos. Life is a cruel ***** mistress but she makes goood brownies.

Re: it's raining cabs

PS buy a bigger car. I love my sentra but I think I'm gona get a nice van to cram all this crap into. Possibly a double decker.

"Dude you have a cabinet way bigger than any normal 4x12 but it only fits two speakers? JUST WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR."
If I didn't think owning cool amps was more important than being a human I probably wouldn't have bought it in the first place. But just LOOKIT HOW COOL IT BE

Re: it's raining cabs

I dig the idea "before and after" pics with that behemoth linup

I anticipate matching cabs for full stack. bring on the after pic!

Re: it's raining cabs

There's a local weatherman that I found out is gay, and now whenever I see him on TV, I sing that 'it's raining men' song.
