Heh heh. They're pretty good i guess... Oh alright they are friggin awesome! BUt they are expensive as well. And there's only so much you can do with a les paul.

I already have 2 les pauls - 1 expensive nice playing one, and one agile. Both are nice and growly.

But I'm just not interested in traditional guitars anymore, because I already own them. I would like to try a fretless guitar, or a baritone guitar. I also want a 7 string guitar with 30+ frets. I also want a dean cadillac with 3 gold humbuckers. And a BC Rich. And a jackson soloist 2H neckthru.

A les paul with a floyd would be nice too. There I said it. Let the meteors fly :)

I would probably later in life also get a proper 335 - of good quality. Mine right now is a piece of garbage - but i still love getting tones out of it.

Is that a Private Stock PRS hollowbody? It kind of looks like it has the Santana headstock shape but I can't tell for sure.

Also how much are the Slash LPs?

crap I got giant GAS for a silverburst or an all mahogany LP custom. But another Les Paul is the last thing I need and I'm in no position to drop that kind of cabbage. I'll be working on a tele soon! nice pics bro, thanks for sharin the love

I hate these threads, they always come when I think I've got my LP GAS under control. There's so many gorgeous looking axes in those pics, if I had a fat wallet and was at that store, I'd be going home with at least a cpl.

By the way...what does "R4", "R6", etc. mean in reference to Gibson guitars?

I believe it refers to the year. R4 = "1954 reissue", R6= "1956 reissue". They're VOS guitars, Vintage original spec. Can someone else confirm this?

Mostly correct about what each mean, but all Reissues are not VOS. The VOS thing is new in the historic line (couple years) and those have satin faded style finishes and not high gloss. The exception is the R9, which is high gloss. I noticed they put a reference to new R9's being VOS on their website now, so I'm not sure if that means they will also start having the dull finishes, or maybe both. For example, if you want a high gloss R8 anymore, you have to special order it at an upcharge.

I seem to remember a while back you took some pics of a Silverburst that was an odd shape, kind of like a Mockingbird perhaps, but more Gibson-y..do you remember that guitar and what it was, cos I wanna find one?
