I have a similar Les Paul, faded cherry though, with a Custom in the bridge and a PAF in the neck. Great guitars for the dough. :)

I know how you feel. I put mine down for a while and picked up my 335(I love my 335), but recently I changed the pickups in my black Standard & I am in Love. I put a set of the Slash AII's in and they were the perfect match for that particular guitar.

Arguably the world's best guitar design. Love mine. There's something very reassuring about playing an LP; I know I'll always have a great beefy tone, and be able to cut loose on it. It's an inspirational guitar. Some guys complain about the weight or short neck, or whatever else those whiners nit-pick about, but bottom line: there's nothing like an LP when it comes to tone quality. If you want sledge hammer power, warmth, & raw crunch, there's no better way than with an LP.

And don't forget, the LP family includes archtops, flat tops, single cutaways, double cutaways, HB's, P-90's, & mini-HB's.
