I've got an Appointment at Ultrasound next week!

I'm in the NY/CT area this week. My wife is flying in to NYC on Friday for us to spend a long weekend together. Have a nice hotel in the Times Square area and lo and behold, I managed to get a time to visit Ultrasound Studios. If you guys are not familiar with Ultrasound, it's basically sound rooms that are for rent. But, they sell a lot of high end amps, including the magic known as Tony Bruno.

I've been wanting to play a Bruno for a long long time, but never got a chance to. Well, Ultrasound is Bruno's primary dealer. It's an appointment only. I'll get an hour in a sound room with some of the finest amps in the world, Dumble, Two Rock, Bruno, Vox, Trainwreck, etc.,.

I'm stoked. I can't wait to play the Brunos (Underground 30 and Cowtipper 45)

Cool...yeah those Brunos sound great.

To be honest, I see myself opening a place like that in LA in the next few years.
I've built and managed rehearsal rooms before, and am thinking of becoming a high end amp dealer, as long as it's high profile enough to actually succeed at it. The way Ultrasound is doing it is exactly how it should be done. You've already got the musician clientele.....then all you have to do is let them hear the tone they've been chasing, but not reaching. Brilliant business idea.

Scott, I've spent hundreds and hundres of hours at Ultra. Do you know which studio you will be at? Personally, STUDIO A sounds better than the ULTRA ROOM to my ears, for rehearsal.

To whet your appetite, check out the picture in this thread ... that's a small sampling of the amps that were behind me at our last rehearsal at Ultrasound. Jeff is the guy that runs it, and he's a great guy, and the staff is very familiar with my band ("That Iron Maiden band with the chick singer that played with George Lynch" )
