Can you guys give me a list of guitar brands that do reasonably priced stuff.. around the 800-1500 mark..?? like ESP , Jackson Ibanez and god know who else... thanks.............................

In that price range you can get a great new guitar or even a used higher end model. What style of guitar do you play? Do you want one guitar, or would 2 be better suited for your purposes (esp if you're in a band and playing out, 1 guitar won't cut it).

ESP, Jackson, and Ibanez all have different neck sizes, looks, and feel to their guitars.

Off the top of my head I would say go with an ESP (not LTD) or an Ibanez Jem ...

I'm gassing over a sl2h soloist in mahogany, KE2 kelly, hamer standard custom, and an SG (quite a list now which to buy...) right now. The Sl2H is like a sg supreme with an original floyd, SD's, and obviously a different body.

Depending on what style you play is what my recommendation hinges on.

i almost bought an ESP vintage plus (custom shop) one time...very nice axes...you can score one of these for about $600 dollars used...retailed for around $1200 new...
