I think that all professional models were made in japan. I don't think that they write made in japan anywhere on the body, except a sticker somewhere in the back of a neck.

I have a japanese Jackson DK-2. It's a good guitar, but propably quite similar to your charvel.

How much is it in dollars or euro?

300$ = Not for that guitar. At least not if it was me, I´ll tell you why:

1. ALL Jacksons that say "professional" on the headstock are made in Japan, NO KNOWN EXCEPTIONS. And as some of you may know, I don´t generally play imports ;)

2. Direct-Mounted Jackson Import pickups and the Cheap Takeuchi Floyd tell me its an early-90s Dinky Reverse. Not a bad guitar, but barely sold for 800$ brand new w/ case.

3. I personally HATE the finish. The maple cap is a veneer, BTW. Only Archtops or USA have "real wood", the archtops being the only ones where it´s thick enough to make a tonal difference.

"True Japanese Guitar" made me laugh, though, as I consider almost anything Japanese, including Jacksons, to be a cheap copy of the US Original :D

It´s your call, JP, most of the reasons I wouldn´t get it are preference. But wouldn´t you rather have one badass jackson than 12 cheap ones? ;)

AHAHHA HOLY CRAP Guys... i´m really on a DILLEMA here. DAMN Q:/
i can make a custom guitar here with : Gotoh Bridge floyd rose, gotoh tuners, 24 frets, Brazilian rosewood(Jacarandá da Bahia), Maple Neck(NECK THRU BODY ), MAHOGANY BODY, My 2 EMG 81/85 Combo... and ... natural Wood design.

Zerberus... don´t you have a good Charvel(H-H, but without the Pups) or Jackson with you to sale? you can come to brazil for some vacancies and i´ll give you the money and you ive me the guitar. ahahah that´s the only way. HAHAHAHAHA

I don´t have one right now, but I may have one soon, how much were you looking to spend? Neckthru or Bolt-On? Any problems with a Rhoads or King-V, depending on what I can dig up?

Man... I have right now ON MY HANDS
R$1000 Brazilian Money... it´s About to 400 US dollars... and i NEED to sell my RED Stratocaster First. i really am not a FAN of Flying Vs or King Vs Or those exotic shapes... with the Exception of The BC RICH the Beast.
I preffer a body shape Like the Soloists, Ibanez Rgs, (with a good acces to the upper frets, cause i have a ****ing big hand and fingers)etc. with H-H configuration, but i don´t need the pickups, keep it with you. Q:) it means LESS $$$ for me. ahahah a Good BRIDGE, a original Schaller or a Gotoh or original floyd rose. and...
24 frets,medium Jumbo or Jumbo, and... rosewood or ebony fingerboard... can be a one piece maple neck too, No problem AT ALL ahahahah, for the body wood.. can be the following Woods : Mahogany, alder, Ash, rosewood, Maple(the last Options cause it is too bright right?!). Good Tuner machines.. gotoh, groover, sperzel, or whatever...
that´s ok... I preffer NECK THRU.. but if that is too much Expensive, i´ll keep the Bolt On. no problem.. as you can see... i´m very open to That. Q:)

You can send the guitar through a friend of yours that is travelling to Brazil , OR..you can bring it YOURSELF. eheheheheh
because.. if you send it through conventional Post Office shipping.. ahahah you already Know.. it will Burn and spit acid in my ASS with the Brazilian THIEVES Customs
ahahahaha they charge me 60% from upcomming international stuffs that enters brazil... and to complete the total desaster..they not allow USED stuff to enter brazil.

The Jap Jacksons from the 90's are great guitars. Don't let the fact that it's not made in the USA turn you off.
