is there any reason for me to upgrade pickups in a jackson js1 or just get a new guitar just wondering for future refrence?

If you love the guitar, then new pickups can really make it come alive. However, if you can't justify the price of new pickups, and maybe better wiring, pots, switches and input jack, then save the money and upgrade guitars. It's all about what you like. There are some low priced guitars out there that have a great feel to them, but just lack the optimal set of pickups. Only you can decide.

I HAD ONE , exatcly model of yours
the wood DIDNT INTERACT WITH THE PICKUP SOUNDS.
I tried 5 different brands and models.
they sounded with too much bass and middle, and the highs were stuffy by the bass and midds.
but the overal guitar is awesome.
