Jackson SL3 wiring diagram.

Hello guys,
I recently ran into a problem while replacing the volume POT on my 2001 SL3, I noticed something strange on the guitar volume but did not payed atention to it, sudently the harmonics were really hard to play not to mention that the notes go mute too soon, SO yesterday I compared it with my Ibanez RG7420MC and damn!!! it sounded way better than my Jackson and with a higher volume, so I have reason to belive that I did something wrong when I replaced the bad POT, I have a Multimeter so the POT is actually a little less than 500K (the original POT was 500K).

If some knows where I can get the diagram please let me know, I want my sound back :banghead:
Specs:
3way switch
Seymour duncan TB6 / Bridge
Seymour duncan SHR101 / Middle
Seymour duncan SHR101 / Neck

Thank you.

Re: Jackson SL3 wiring diagram.

I think this is what you need. You say you have a 3 way switch, but I think the SL3 has a 5 way like the DK2 I used to have.
If all you changed was the volume pot, and nothing else, the wiring should be the same though? Maybe you damaged the pot you put in, or got a poor solder joint?

Re: Jackson SL3 wiring diagram.

Hey Varg! the wiring its a bit different but the cables that I was worried about look the same as the diagram so I should be good, I´ll replace the POT with a different brand to see if thats the problem, the only thing I hate about the SL3 is the POT size its a pain in the but finding one where I live.

:thanks:
:)

Update:
I changed the POT with no luck, I swapped the POT cables and it sounded better, now thats strange since there is no polarity but if it sounds better Im ok with it.
