Jackson Soloist

Bought this one used a few weeks ago, a Jackson USA SL2H Soloist in trans green. My first Jackson and also my first neck through guitar. I have to say I'm very impressed, the JB and 59 sound way different in this guitar than in others that I have them in, (G&L, Heritage and Kramer). The JB in particular has a very throaty sound with lots of bite.

The amp btw is a Laney TT50, all valve three channel made in the UK. It has great cleans and some serious overdrive and distortion tones.

Nice, love those trans colors from Jackson. Bought a USA soloist 2 years ago and love it. Best guitar I've ever played.

Re: Jackson Soloist

That's odd. The amplifier is exactly how it should be, but the guitar is spɹɐʍʞɔɐq. I think you got gipped man!

:nana:

Nah haha just kidding, that's a beautiful finish.

Re: Jackson Soloist

Am I the only person here who gets excited and jealous over something I already am an owner of? Everytime I see a Jackson guitar it's like it's my first time ever seeing one. Weird.

Welcome to the club! And, the transparent green is loads of killer.

Throaty. Thanks for that definition. I always saw that on paper and knew what it meant, but didn't apply it to the sound of the JB in the Soloist, but it's 100% true.

Ahhh, something about left handed NGDs is just so much more satisfying, don't you think? :D

Nice guitar, man. Not generally my kinda style but I really dig the finish on it. Beauty of an amp, too. I bet they make a great team. Congrats, dude. :friday:

Congratz on your purchase mate! That's a sexy looking lefty!! ;)

Jackson Soloist and even the Dinky series are great guitars, shame I could not get along with their volume pot location (as with many other models), I got used to my Ibanez RG/JEM volume pot location, Jackson has the pot almost in the center of the pickup screw, while Ibanez has his more towards the bridge. Shame I could not get used to the pot (it kept on getting in the way of my picking hand), since otherwise I really liked those guitars.

Have fun with that mean Greanie man! ;)
