Jackson USA SL2H MAH

Great Jackson SL2H MAH which is all mahogany with a maple top in natural finish. The back of the neck at the top near the head stock was damaged during shipping and professionally repaired. You can't even see the repair and it was done 6 months ago and the guitar has no issues what so ever. Don't miss out on this chance to get a very expensive, and rare, Jackson for a great price!

Upgrades include:

  • Big Brass Block
  • Tremolo-No
  • Noiseless Springs

It currently has a Seymour Duncan Big Custom in the bridge (SH-5 with a big Ceramic) and AII Pro in the neck, but I can put the stock JB/59 back in if you like.

$1400 and $25 shipping to CONUS. (Will also entertain reasonable offers)

Thanks for looking.

Re: Jackson USA SL2H MAH

Can you give more specifics about the damage and repair?
Also, are you interested in trades?

Thanks

Re: Jackson USA SL2H MAH

Sure! The damage was at the top of the neck in back. A big chunk of wood came out and it had to be glued back in. Also, the whole neck was refinished. Not super interested in trades, although I am in the market for a 7 string. Most of the models I'm looking at would require cash with the guitar. Thanks.

Jeff

Some have asked so here are images of it before it was repaired.

Re: Jackson USA SL2H MAH

Not to sidetrack your sale thread, so consider this a bump.. : ) But I have to ask what tonal diff do you get with the big mag over the normal?? Wow, she's purty.. wish I had some $$

Re: Jackson USA SL2H MAH

With the big ceramic it is bigger and fuller from a pure sonic range stand point. The stock Custom seems...skinnier, if a bit more focused. The Big Custom also has a bit more sizzle on the high end and the low end. It's not as "stiff" as the regular Custom is another way of putting it. (Not that the regular Custom sounds bad, because it doesn't!)

I like the stock Custom, but I always found myself wishing it was just a bit more aggressive, sang a bit more in the leads (a.k.a. sparkle/sizzle) and had just a tad more give in the low end. The Big Custom seems to do that. If you like the stock Custom, but just wish it was a little.....more.....the Big Custom is a very cool pick up and a really simple mod to do.

Sounds great!! Yeah, I like the custom (custom 8 is my go to) but swapped the one out of my charvel with a dist cuz I wanted alittle more. That sounds ideal! Now Im assuming this is a taller mag? or wider? When I got the distortion, I had to put a thinner mag in cuz I had no string clearance with it stock.. (direct mount pups)
