Jangly/Vintagey pickup for my Gretsch BST

So some time this year I'm going to be refinishing my Gretsch BST, replacing the pickguard, and replacing the pickups. I'm thinking of doing a single pickup in the bridge, one volume, one tone. Now, considering it's a Gretsch, I figured it needs a jangly sort of Filtertron or DeArmond like pickup in the bridge. I'm going to be getting the new pickguard custom made, so it doesn't have to be standard humbucker sized. The guitar is a hardtail, top loading, mahogany body, maple neck, 24.75 scale length and a rosewood board.

The sort of sounds I'm going for are Queens of the Stone Age (think of the song No One Knows), AC/DC sort of tones are cool too, Billy Talent is another good example, just anything with a little bit of jangly punch, if you know what I mean. Lower output, with some bite and bark. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money, so I don't want to spend the $130-150 on a TV Jones. I was thinking of the GFS Nashville or Liverpool pickups, any other options out there that will get me in the ballpark for those kinda tones? If there are any other questions on the sort of tones I'm going for, feel free to ask.
