Anyone have experience these? They got player's choice award in 2004 by guitar player. I believe for the 200dlx........I picked one up for under 300 dollars........mostly for playing out in a cover band. I did not want my good guitars in the places we were playing...anyways, compared to a real les paul, playing wise they're pretty accurate.....even sound wise...but I wonder if replacing the bridge pup if it's worth the effort. With a quality SD pup.

The body is maghony w/maple top....anyone throw a JB in theses..

Just curious?

Re: Jay Turser

This is a bit dated as mine was a Spirite from 2001 prob... Bought for about $200 or less, I forget. The only thing I really remember is it having an effy metal nut, and hating the bridge humbucker because it was too honky and weird sounding.

Or maybe that's just humbuckers in general :laugh2:

How do you feel your guitar lacks? If you don't, keep it stock.

IIRC the single coils weren't awful... I replaced a neck one with a hotrail, and was less than impressed with the "improvement"
