Jazz Bass SJB-1 / Volume issue

Hey folks, stumped here. SJB-1 set. When the bridge pickup is all the way up, no issue. When the neck pick up is all the way up, no issue. When they are both all the way up, there is a 1/3 drop in volume. Any thoughts? Attaching a photo of the pots / control panel. Thanks.

Is one of them reverse wound? Perhaps out of phase? Or the weird connector isn't labeled quite right?

That's pretty normal on a bass. Insertion loss or something like that its called. Usually more apparent with mismatched pickups

It happens a bit on my J bass, but it doesn't drop in volume by 1/3rd. More like 1/8th.
