Jazz Bridge Pickup

Hey all-

I have been a JB player for many years, but just recently tried it paired up with the Jazz neck pickup. While they're a great combo, I'm finding that I really LOVE the Jazz in the neck. I'm wondering what the Jazz bridge pickup is like? My favorite aspect of the Jazz neck is it's 'clean' sound, even with lots of distortion...it just sings and is warm, yet defined. When I switch up to the JB, it's quite a bit muddier/flubby on the low end. I was just wondering if the Jazz bridge has similar attributes or is more like the JB with respect to low end response.

Do a search, Jolly plays them and has clips posted on here! Search feature my friend.

Re: Jazz Bridge Pickup

I think a better match is Custom 5/Jazz. Jolly gave me a Jazz Bridge over a year ago, and I used it as a bridge in a strat and in the neck position on a Paul.
The Jazz bridge makes a great neck pickup, and the Jazz neck can be used for anything as well. I consider both Jazz models to be nice sounding lower output Duncans, which should be utilized whenever you're looking for clear and balanced tone.
