my hand kills to f*** though some of the stretches on that are huge - a 5 fret with a bar and a weird chord shape isnt really that easy
i got a bit of a blister on my thumb too from practising it (no pick used)
i might use it for an old style song if i could find a singer with a raspy enough voice lol - not happening at age 16... maybe i should look through some pubs lol
i cant stand those in stadard though - too thick :/
i got some other stuff in this tuning too, as well as some 9/4 piece in open G with a D on the bass, so the guitar feels "wrong" for those songs but perfect for standard.
hey if i ever get rich i'll get another one built purely for those tunings
Heh yeah, I used to play alot with capo, all kinds of weird tunings....and chordfrettings....uhu!!
Mostly I could get away with it using 10's, sometime wapping the bottom E to a 48 or 50.
thing is my bloody trem is floating :smack: its a weird one. no route for it at all its just stuck on top of the body. and i got it set perfect atm, the thicker bass strings would pull the damn thing up...
i'm thinking of buying a string through bridge though, so when i get that i'll put a set on and see how it feels
Hmm how about blocking the backward movement, I do that with all my Floyds.
That should help you stabilise the guitar, since you can the increase the springtension, without having the whole damn thing going backwards.
