Here's a little riff that popped in my head right before I was going to record something else a couple of weeks ago. It kinda has a grind to it (I think)...hence the name. It was recorded with my #1 Gibson Les Paul with the Jazz/Jazz combo. This was recorded with just the Jazz Bridge Model. I love those pickups for heavy stuff. Anyways, I hope ya dig it. Thanks man!! I was using my Line6 AX2/212 using a modeled JCM800 and Tubescreamer.

Hehe, nice! I love the way your tone sounded crunchy, gainy, but at the same time open and natural, non compressed. Must be the Jazz, huh?

Fun thing that the Jazz sounds so good distorted. They should have named it the "Rock" model :D

That last two things you have posted kick much ass. I went back and listened to some of your other material and it all rocks too. Screw it, I am dying my hair blond and buying an Epiphone tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! I am going to throw a Jazz in the bridge too.

Do you mic your line 6 with a SM57 or what? You have absolutely killer tone on some of your stuff.

Thanks for that Jazz Bridge you tossed my way at UGD! I yanked the JB outta my blue racecar strat and put the Jazz in there. At first, I thought it sounded like a 59 that was harder under the fingers, but then I listened to it loud on good amps in a band mix and I like it! I have it in that strat with the tone rolled back slightly, and it sounds nice, and balances better with single coils than others like the JB and C-5. I was gonna go to a 59, but this thing sounds pretty cool in a strat. My LP's are dialed in with my favorite pickups, so I haven't heard it in a Paul yet.

Thanks man...dye your hair yet? lol....I run direct. I've never mic'd my amp and recorded. I should try it just for the heck of it sometime. Thanks again,

I'm glad you dig that pickup man. I was hoping you would. I'm kinda tripped out you put it in a Strat. I would think it would be pretty bright in one. When you put it in a Les Paul, you should try it in both slots for the hell of it.

Jolly I have just listened to your grind riff recorded with a Jazz bridge and it sounds smashing, very cool and very clear. It does remind me of Alice in Chains, especially their song called Grind :lmao:... indeed

Do you have other sound clip recorded with your Jazz combo. I am thinking of getting this set for my LP Studio and if you had other clips (less heavy) it could help me make my choice. But the Jazz set does sounds like a winner so far!

That sounded nuts dude. I have a Jazz bridge in my neck. Did you use an acutal tubescreamer, or is it in the amp effects?

If you scroll down maybe about 18 songs or so there's a song/riff thingy called "Spooky" It's all Jazz Bridge in a Les Paul except for the lead fill thing...that's a Jazz Neck.

That was a modeled tubescreamer in the Line6 ax2/212.:)

I'm an idiot. I just read the "less heavy" part..lol. This entire song was recorded with a Jazz Bridge in an Epiphone Les Paul. It's about as "less heavy" as I can get..lol...well, except for the end.;)
