Jazz Neck impro.

I just swapped the neck humbucker in my Jacaranda guitar with a Jazz Neck!

Here's an off the cuff impro with the Jazz neck in full humbucker mode and split in single coil mode...I guess you will hear the difference.

I think it sounds OK...nice and defined...the previous pickup was nice but too bassy and overwhelming.

Here it is:

Here's the guitar:

What do you think?:baby:

Nice note choices in there man :)

That's similar to the neck pup tones I like, especially the full hb sound

I'm trying to decide between this pickup and the Bill Lawrence L500C, any thoughts? Nice playing by the way.:burnout:

Thanks to everybody. I'm glad you liked the sounds.:burnout:

I've never tried The B.Lawrence so I couldn't say.

I'll add this about the Jazz. It's a very unique pickup, IMHO.
When played clean it sounds almost like an acoustic, very defined and transparent. It starts sounding PAF-like as soon as you start turning up the gain...warms up nicely with a lot of sustain.

Very versatile and pretty ideal for my mahagony guitar with tone chambers.:beerchug:

I played it loud at band practice yesterday.
Absolutely great!:jester: Love it!

Extremely tasty!! Really nice chime and phrasing , that progression really hooked me in. I would love to hear a band version of it, any chance you could bootleg a rehearsal?

Sure...next time I'm playing I'll bring my Walkman recorder with me. The recording quality wont be very good though.

Thanks.:burnout:

Wow. That was amazing! I love your tone:32: Your playing was just as amazing though... I loved the phrasing, the note choice, and there was even some fast chops in there! Excellent track. Just wanted to commend you. I'd like to hear a band version as well:beerchug:
