Jazz string hight settings

In a thread a little while ago it was suggested that the best setting for a JB from the strings would be 1/16" well I tried it and agree, great tones!

So any ideas for The Jazz string hight settings my freinds.

Re: Jazz string hight settings

I'd start (with the strings held down at the highest fret) about 1/16" away or a little more for the high E and about 1/8" or a little more for the low E. I adjust the poles in an arch that matches the underside of the strings, with the loud "B" string pole a little further away.

That's how I start. Then over the course of a few days or weeks I adjust up or down in very small increments until I can just forget about it and play.

Now I am officially out of here for the day...BYE!
