Jazz vs 59 for neck pickup of an Alder HSH guitar with Custom 5 in the bridge

I recently got an Alder body Yamaha Guitar. HSH, pickups screwed to the body with 6 screw vibrato.

I have a extra Custom 5, so I replace the stock humbucker, placed a Bill Lawrence L200 in the middle,

I am deciding between Jazz vs 59 for the neck pickup of an Alder HSH guitar with Custom 5 in the bridge

I use the neck pickup for clean sounds and ocassionaly for distortion, so am really looking for the pickup with more clarity and warmth, although I do tend use the neck pickup for lead playing and solos. Also I need Versatility in a Humbucker Neck Pickup, and responds well to Coil Splitting

I heard the 59 is Bassy and Boomy in a Les Paul, is it also Bassy and Boomy in Alder ?

Any suggestions is appreciated, Pearly Gates, Alnico 2 Pro etc....

Thanks
