Jazz wiring help on Ibanez

Hi I have an Ibanez RGA 121.

I am replacing the v7 and v8 pups with a SD JB and a Jazz in the neck.

I replaced the V* with the JB first and all seemed well. Afew weeks later I replaced the v7 with the JAzz. OOh EERRR.

Very thin sounds in 3 of the 5 positions the switch has. I think I have some coils out of phase. I have tried reversing them in sequence but with so many options I am going around in circles.


Does any body know either the colour equivalent of the V7 wires compared with the Jazz or the correct wiring for the JAzz on the Ibanez 5 position/2 humbucker switch?

Thanks very much for this. I had evrything correct apart from the Green in the Jazz (which I had earthed with bare). I would never have found the correct position for green. It is terrific now.

I'm going to suggest it is.

The wiring colours should all match fine.

What would happen if I put the Jazz red wire to the 7th pin and not the second; as these 2 pins are linked by that white wire anyway?
