JazzN warmer than PgN?

i'm contemplating a pickup change in gibson les paul standard. will be using a distortion in the bridge, and would like the neck pickup to be a little more powerful than a Jazz. The jazz is decent in my schecter, but wouldn't mind a hint more bass and output... for higher gain solos and such. there seems to be a lot of PgN attention on here lately, and was wondering where it stands in comparison mainly to the bass on a JazzN, but of course other aspects, views and neck PU suggestions are welcome.

i fear the 59N for rumors of mud, and i fear the FsN for rumors of bass lack.

good luck

I would give the '59N some consideration. I have a pair of '59s in my Classic Les Paul, and yes you can make the neck muddy if you don't set the pickup height correctly or if you have too much bass on your amp; but I have tweaked my pickups to avoid too much bass. I am not familiar with the PG neck or the Jazz. Check the tone chart for comparisons on the SD site.

If you want "a hint more bass and output" than the Jazz, then you probably want a 59N as, IMO, that describes the 59N perfectly. Lew
