JB covers

Can I get just a regular black JB and then take the gold cover off of my epi stock pickups and put it on the JB?

i did with my epi LP, but the pole pieces don't completely line up with the holes on the cover...

Gibson style covers don't fit on Duncans. Also, if you don't wax pot it properly, you risk uncontrollable/unwanted feedback with high gain/volume.

Spend the extra $25 and buy the JB with the cover already on it.
