Jb(full size) vs Jb jr.

I wondering if anyone knew how close a tone that a JB has to the single coil version callled the JB jr. I know it the JB jr. has more highs and less lows, but I want to know how similar they are compared together in a bridge.

The EQ or TONE is similar but the JB JR. is not as loud and powerful as the full size JB.

Still, it's a great choice for beefing up the bridge pickup position in a Strat.

Bass is also tighter on the JR, giving it a bit of a more "aggressive" vibe than it´s big brother. Kind of like "a bit of custom mixed in" ;)

probably due to the ceramic magnet in all of the "little" series, no?

Re: Jb(full size) vs Jb jr.

Possible, but the magnet is also significantly smaller, causing it to be weaker, so it´s a bit up in the air. I think it´s more because of the smaller formfactor, the pickup "works" from a smaller, more "definable" length of the string, and that also adds definition.....

Most likely, it´s some combination of the above ;)

Yes. The smaller JB JR senses a smaller area of the string than the wider full size JB. Lew
