JB in the Charvel Pro Mods

Been looking at the Charvels.. I was thinking about getting a (proper) strat.. now I'm thinking about getting a Charvel wild card with the HSS.

It has no tone knob, I was thinking of getting one added with coil split for the JB. So I'd have classic stack plus in middle and neck, and a split JB in the bridge for strat mode. With the option of humbucker mode if needed.

Does all of this sound good in theory.. as in would the single coil tone in all 3 positions be comparable to a strat? Alder body, maple neck.

Also.. it's going to be a really bright sounding guitar? I read before someone saying that JB with a 500k vol pot circuit works great.

Would adding a tone pot change that? And how? How would adding a 250k tone pot change the sound of the JB? I have no idea on this type of stuff.

Re: JB in the Charvel Pro Mods

You can add a resistor to cut the value of 500K volume and tone pots down to 250K when you select the single coils and leave it 500K for when you're using the bridge.

You would be fine with the JB and a 250K and i would get a push/pull 250K for the JB
