Re: JB is a freakin GREAT pickup

lol well brisk, arent we a little defensive about pup matters.... I've never tried the JB, but what makes you say such high things about it?

Re: JB is a freakin GREAT pickup

It's pretty good. I'd have liked it thicker for distorted sounds but it sounds bloody AMAZING played clean.

The JB rocks. I have 3 variations: JB, Bug-Sey and CS prototype.

Steve,

I'm not there on those variations. Are these single coils (have no single coil holes to fill so I pay no attention to those models)? Could you elaborate.

Thanks

Can anyone tell me if they've mounted one in the bridge of their Les Paul? I'm curious as to what the result was.

Listen to THE CULT'S CD Sonic Temple... that's about as Les Paul w/a JB as your gonna get!

Re: JB is a freakin GREAT pickup

i have a JB Jr in the neck position on my usa strat and it is amazing. when playing past the 12th fret with the overdrive crancked up there are some really sweet sounds. :)

Re: JB is a freakin GREAT pickup

I have a JB in the bridge and a 59 in the neck of my LP, I have been really happy with the combo...very versatile.

Re: JB is a freakin GREAT pickup

I have a JB in the bridge of my Les Paul, and I love it. The only thing I've liked more so far is the Burstbucker Pro in a LP standard I was testin out. JB sounds excellent, but the Pro just has a little bit more of that nice vintage crunch in it.
