Then again, with todays availability of replacement parts, (including pickguards), it's no more difficult to put a Strat sized pup in the neck of a Tele, as it is to put a humbucker in the bridge. They now need a Tele neck size Cool Rails.
But, funny this should come up now...With the JB being the most popular HB, why is there no JB Jr. for Tele?
Was quite surprised to see this, when I just acquired my first Tele and wanted to put a JB Jr. in the bridge of it...
Any particular reason?
I would be first in line. They now need a Tele neck size Cool Rails.
That would be fantastic, and I am sure the CS could do it.I wonder if they could make a JD noiseless, without losing everything that makes it what it is?
Yes, mine only has a single route and I don't feel comfortable drilling a hole for a humbucker in it.I wasn't completely thinking when I made the above comment. That assumes the Tele is routed for such a change. If it isn't, taking a router to your new Tele could be quite a daunting task.
Probably why I have had the parts for my Brent Mason Tele for about a decade, and haven't finished it yet.![]()
Why do you say that? But, funny this should come up now...
I guess it's up to the Custom Shop.A Hot Rails Tele would have less treble, and a ton more mids.
Maybe hold off on that order a few days...I guess it's up to the Custom Shop.![]()
