JB Jr. Question

How is the bottom end of the JB Jr.? I have put a full-sized JB in most of my guitars and know what I'm getting with it. It is my go-to sound. I got a G&L Tribute Series Legacy a few years ago and dropped a Hot Rails in it. And, while I like the overall sound of the pickup, I'm missing that kick to the chest when palm muting. I'm wondering if the Jr. will have the same oomph as it's full-sized brother.

I know the correct answer is just get a pickguard that will fit the humbucker but finding one off the shelf is very rare and I haven't found one yet.

i agree, while i love the hot rails, they dont punch the same as a fullsize bucker. i assume due to the form factor.
