jb jr same as full size humbuckers

I hear alot of good things about the jb ,but I have a strat deluxe maple neck
with cool rails bridge and neck the bridge isn't producing enough sustain,
do you think jb jr would solve that or would you go with another combo.
thanx for any input.

The JB jr is quite a bit hotter than the Cool Rails so it may be closer to what you want. Sustain is really a product of the guitar, the materials used and your set-up more than which pickup you use. If you action is very low, that will impact tone and sustain far more than the pickup.

Robert's 100% right. A hotter pickup will push a tube amp into overdrive more easily tho and if that's what you mean by sustain then a JB JR. will give you alot more of that than a Cool Rails. A Hot Rails will give you even more! But I prefer the tone of the JB JR over the Hot rails...just sounds more vintage and natural to me. Lew

Well jb it is. I think my guitar tech is getting a little frustrated with me.
This will be the third time I changed those combo's due to the seymour policy.
He only gets paid for the first instal.
Sorry to all you techs out there. Put I'm sure you all agree!
If you invest $400.00 in pick ups you want that sound.
