JB jr. vs. Hot Rails in the neck?

The Hot Rails is one of my all time favorite neck pickups for shredding. How does the JB jr compare in the neck position? I can't stand the full sized JB in the neck or bridge. But, since the jr's tend to sound a little different, I thought I might see what people thought. I know the Lil 59 and the Cool Rails are pretty similar and the Vintage Rails and Duckbucker are virtually identical. Just wondering if the JB jr could compare to the Hot Rails at all. Looking for some real world experience here, not just regurgitations of specs. Thanks

No one, huh? OK, I know what the Hot Rails is like, can someone give me a detailed description of how the JB jr sounds in the neck position?

JB JR sounds thin and somewhat single coilish. The hot rails neck is my favorite neck pickup. I removed the JB Jr from the neck, put it in the middle, tried a bridge one in the middle, but realized it isn't fluid enough for me. I personally don't really like it overdriven. It sounds better for rhythm in the neck than a hot rails does, but the hot rails neck can't be beaten for solo tone. The JB Jr has a punchier clean tone that I like. But the hot rails sounds awesome paired with another pickup clean. Hope this helps.

That helps a bunch. That's what I was thinking originally. Looks like it's a Hot Rails for me.
