jb neck/super distortion bridge?

How would this combo work in a jackson rhoads made of alder?
I have the super distortion in the bridge, but the neck pickup is junk.
I think this should work, because both should be pretty hot and fat in their respective positions.
So what do you guys think?
Would a super 2 be a better choice, or is it to hot?

That's funny, coz I just stuck a JB (ceramic) & a Super Dist in my RG570, except the JB is in the bridge & Super D is neck. I like it a lot.

I use a JBn/Custom setup in my main dinky (Alder Body, Maple neck, Rosewood board) and will probably never change them. The JB is very smooth and singing, but still retains clarity. Wails like a banshee in heat in the upper registers, and is as close to a mudfight as you can get without actually slinging some. The custom balances out nicely with it, and gives me the ballsy tone I need from a Bridge humbucker, but enough versatility to cover almost all the bases.

And the JB split is the next best thing to a neck single coil

Sorry for not recommending another Dimarzio for you, but my boycot of their products prohibits that, among other things

I say give it a try. I think the Jb is great in the neck and I like the Super D alot in the bridge. They may mix, they may not but, I would say it is worth a try.

That´s just what i wanna have, as warm as possible but not muddy.
Zebrus: your guitar is prety similar to mine construction wise, so your opinion means a lot, mine is also a bolt on.
And it can´t get worse than the stock pickup anyway i guess, it´s just some jackson branded asian crap...
And jbfromhell: how is the super dist in the neck, does it overpower the ceramic jb?
Anyone else got an opinion?

Output wise, they're pretty close, but I have the JB riding the strings, and the Super D backed off pretty far. I can't say what the case would be using an A5 mag, but I bet it'd still sound good. The Super D is super fat in the neck, and smooth as hell
