me neither - to me it's almost sacrilege not to vote JB, even though I voted C5, and that's why I think this poll is so interesting. =) I promise I am going to throw a JB in at least one of my guitars, though. =)

i was using a ccc before the c5 was a production pup and have loved the tone, c5 gets my vote

I finally caved in to the Duncan forum's C5 obsession. I'll be getting a nice zebra trembucker soon to go into a Triple Fat Strat but I think the Distortion and the JB will always IT for me.

I love them both, but am leaning toward the JB a bit right now as it is a bit more harmonically rich and articulate than the C5 to my ears. The C5 is a warmer, more vintage tone IMHO. C5 is good for most, but the JB seems to work for more music styles.

I voted C5 because I'm using one at the moment and I don't have any JBs installed. It's hard to choose because I like both and each pickup has its own uses.

I voted C5. However, if you had included a JB with an alnico-2 magnet, it would have been a harder choice.

Yeah, it's really hard to argue with a pickup that's been used on _so_ many albums!

When I think of the JB I always think of Blow by Blow and then Alice in Chains and maybe hair metal in general. What about everyone else?

For all who think the JB sounds thin, listen to some late Thrice Stuff (The Illusion of savety, TAITA). They use JB's and Super Distortions on there and they get the most huge sounds out of it.

The JB is the ultimate pickup if you're a rocker!! FS is great too, but the JB is really versatile and sounds killer split...

The C5 times 4 for me! They just sound right to me. My two JBs are sitting in their boxes.
