JB or DD???

Well, I had decided on the DD/A2P combo for my new USA Custom, but I recently acquired a JB so now I don't know which one, JB or DD.
Here are the specs again:
Honduran mohagany dinky s body
hipshot hardtail bridge
two push/pull 500k volume pots to split each pup
3 way toggle switch
padauk neck (which warmoth says is similar to maple)
ebony fretboard
25 1/2" scale
3 + 3 tilt back headstock

I play through a Mesa Rectoverb head and 2x12 Mesa cab. The tone I'm after is a tight crunchy distortion, modern but not loose muddy nu metal
sh!t. I was listening to Alice in Chains today and I really dig Jerry Cantrells tone on songs like We die Young.

Uh....Those links aren't working for me! I'll manually get them. Im also interested on what you boys think. Search engine is GREAT!

Re: JB or DD???

i would say DD or JB would work fine my vote would be JB since every guitar i have/had has had one in it at some point and sounded great i think it would be killer in a mahogany body i had one in a mahogany flying v and it was awesome!

Re: JB or DD???

You can't go wrong with that JB. But, if you want that extra push and your amp doesn't go to 11, then get a DD.

Dont want to be rude, but there have been elaborate threads about JB vs. DD.

Yeah, I'm aware of the search feature, but every guitar and everyone's setup is different so that's why asked. If it had been just a general question about which pup you prefer I would have just used the search function, but this is a specific question about a very specific setup.
